A Little about me...

My parents moved to Temecula, California when I was almost 2 years old, so I guess you can say my roots are quite firmly planted. I'm married to my hardworking, strong, and very handsome husband Justin and we have a two year old little boy named Carson and a brand new baby girl named Charlotte! I’m 99.9% sure I’m obsessed with both of them.

I got my degrees in Hotel and Restaurant Management and Marketing at NAU in Flagstaff, Arizona. It was during this time that I truly found myself and discovered that I LOVED making other people happy (thus, the customer service driven degree). I finally knew who I was and what I wanted to do with my life. Or so I thought...

I found out very soon after college that this hotel & restaurant life was HARD. And not in a good way. Working long, unfulfilling hours, weekends & holidays just wasn't something I saw myself doing, now that a family was in my semi-near future. That's when I found the wedding industry; more specifically, planning & coordinating. Although the hours were still long and I almost always had bandaids on my feet to cover the blisters from running around venues, I LOVED it. There's just something about creating that perfect day for two people and basking in all the love that set my soul on fire.

Fast forward 4 years and my husband and I had our handsome, sweet baby boy. Let me tell you..there's seriously nothing like being a mom. Put aside the labor part and I would have 12 kids if you let me. It's the hardest thing I've ever done, but without a doubt, the most rewarding.

I have been lucky enough to be at home with my boy for the last year (all the thanks go out to my amazing husband for working his tail off every day so that I can). As busy as I am taking care of our TWO children, I missed the industry and needed a creative outlet. Long story short, I decided to create Something Lettered!

Dreaming about where this business will take me and my family is well... terrifying. But with so many ideas circling my head, my hope is that I can impact people in a way that sets THEIR soul on fire. I hope to create things that are unmatched and just simply... original. That's my goal. To not just re-create something that you found on Pinterest, but something that is uniquely yours.

xoxo, Denise
